Germany's Elite Technical Universities present their International Programmes in Berlin

April 28, 2008

Germany’s leading technical universities, the so-called TU9 gathered together in Berlin on 25th and 26th April for StudyWorld 2008, the third international fair for higher education. The TU9 informed visitors about their international joint-degree and double-degree programmes.

TU9 – Excellence in Engineering and the Sciences – Made in Germany!” is the motto of a group of nine leading technical universities in Germany, which include RWTH Aachen, TU Berlin, TU Braunschweig, TU Darmstadt, TU Dresden, Universität Hannover, Universität Karlsruhe (TH), TU München and the Universität Stuttgart.

The TU9 Universities are a group of Universities recognised by the German Government as the leaders in research and teaching. Around 10 percent of all German students study at one of the TU9 universities. Fifty-three percent of engineering sciences graduates in Germany come from a TU9 institution, and around 59 percent of engineering doctorates completed in Germany are also from a TU9 university.

The international joint-degree programmes offer outstanding job prospects for those seeking global careers. The TU9 participating universities offer numerous masters programmes taught in English especially geared to international undergraduate students.

StudyWorld is an annual fair for Higher Education and an excellent place for students and universities to get an insight into the wide range of options in the higher education market and strengthen and expand their international network. With more than 150 exhibitors from about 20 countries, StudyWorld offers visitors the perfect opportunity to gather individualised advice and information on higher education courses and programmes worldwide, planning and financing their studies, studying and internships abroad, graduate programmes and academic education around the globe.
