Beginning December 18, 2008, there is another way however: the Digital Concert Hall. This new internet platform will enable music fans all over the world to see and hear the Philharmonic’s concerts – live or on demand.

Gandhara art comes to Germany
Pakistan's north west was part of the historical Gandhara region, where Buddhist culture and traditions flourished - especially between the 1st and 4th Century AD. Ruled by the Persians, the Greeks, the Indian Mauryas and the Kushans, Gandhara was also open to various cultural influences. Ancient relics and artefacts from this period have been put on display at the Art and Exhibition Hall in Bonn in Germany, which will be open till 15th March 2009.

Hamburg gets its official Beatles memorial
"All you need is..." patience and money. 28 years after the then completely unknown Beatles played their first gig in Hamburg, and seven years after the idea was born of honouring the band with a memorial square, the legendary mop tops are back in the city. The Beatles laid the foundation stone of their career in the early 1960s in the Hamburg neighbourhood of St Pauli.

A season of modern dance opens in Neuss, Germany
The Internationale Tanzwochen begins its 2007/2008 season from 22nd October in the German city of Neuss. First held in 1983, the vast dance forum brings together contemporary dance and ballet companies from around the world to perform in the Stadthalle Neuss from October 2008 to March 2009.
